The open LoRaWAN network for developing IoT apps inside the NOI Techpark

14:4015/11/2019

The experimental LoRaWAN network implemented at the NOI Techpark is a free of charge infrastructure where to test novel wireless devices. It relies entirely on open-source software components and comes with its own guidelines on how to build basic IoT applications from scratch. The LoRaWAN network, which covers most of NOI areal, has already been successfully exploited during the Vertical Innovation Hackathon (Nov18). Next step is to expand the coverage with steady or mobile access points, as was done for couple of pilots in San Michele (TN) and Meran (BZ). The network has been designed and prototyped under the project DPS4ESLAB and has been funded under the project Beacon Südtirol.
